Hello guys, gals, and pals! It is already September 11th when I am posting this but I wanted to give a brief overview of the month and what is going on behind the scenes.

To start with, I am changing the writing schedule from once a week to twice a week as I am reading that much all of a sudden due to reading manga. On Tuesdays, I will be posting about the manga I have been reading and Thursdays are for the books.

First up are the posts planned for September:

I have recently dived head first into One Piece by Eiichiro Oda. One Piece is a ginormous manga series of over 110 volumes published in English and a couple more only published in Japanese. My plan as of right now is to write posts about each volume as the arcs of the plot are all over place, in terms that many times an arc will split a volume in two and my mind just cannot comprehend splitting volumes for posts.

I have read three volumes so far, these will be posted once a week on Tuesdays. I do plan on reading other manga mixed in with it so there should be some variety. Other than that I have one book review in the works. I am only missing one post on the schedule and that is the final book review for the month so I have some time.

September TBR:

This all over the place and will be a doozy.

  • Dungeon Crawler Carl by Matt Dinniman (Dungeon Crawler Carl #1)

This is one of my current reads and I am having an amazing time with this! This is a LitRPG fantasy/sci-fi. It is hilarious and high stakes, fucked up reward if you make it.

  • Midnight in Chernobyl by Adam Higginbotham

Non-fiction and my other current read. I am taking it slow with this one as it is a lot of science and information densely packed. I will not be surprised if I do not finish it anytime soon.

  • Ironclads by Adrian Tchaikovsky (Terrible Worlds: Revolutions #1)

Adrian Tchaikovsky is becoming one of my favorite authors of all time. I have loved some of the Terrible Worlds novella’s and this is another one of them.

  • A Pale View of Hills by Kazuo Ishiguro

This will be my first Kazuo Ishiguro. He is a big favorite in the book club I am apart of and I have some high expectations because of that.

  • Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency by Douglas Adams (Dirk Gently #1)

Should I read this before The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy? Probably not but I will. I want absurdness and I better get it.

  • The Eyre Affair by Jasper Fforde (Thursday Next #1

I attempted to read this back in March and it was a not right now book. I always planned to pick it back up and now I will. There is time travel, cloning, and dodo birds as pets. What else could you wish for?

And there you have it, folks! My plans for September and what to expect. Next post like this should be on October 2nd and that will include a September wrap-up/overview and what to expect for October.

That’s all for now, ’til next time.

Happy Reading!

Lily
